Well yesterday was quite an adventure. My father has recently, within the last couple of years decided to become “Farmer John”. He has acquired honey bees, multiple tractors, a saw mill, a cane press, and built a molasses cooker. Needless to say there is never a shortage of doing things that most people in my generation never get a chance to do or even see. Earlier this week dad informed me that he was going to attend an annual molasses cooking event. You have to admire the the simple way they do things in a way where megahertz and bits can’t. Using things like nickels for “precise” elevation of cooking pans for molasses to run out.
